Anyone use TRÅDFRI (SYMFONISK) or OSRAM or LEDVANCE remote?

I use the Ikea Zigbee Sound Controller (I do not control any sound with it).

Check this thread on working with this device and driver. Many users have issues with them.

Ikea Symfonisk remote! On French Ikea. Zigbee!?

Mine work correctly and battery life is 10-12 months. On the other side, their battery reporting is not reliable. (The remotes, they are.)

Thanks i study a bit before buy it and maybe i ask you some more details

This one is super Cool

it have on/off/dim/double tap/push/release ... wow
i will buy one just to test it,
And i think i can use it for scene and dim.
What do you think?

Black versions look great, although I haven’t seen them in Europe.

Yes depending the driver, they recognize one, two or three taps, plus move in one direction, stop moving, and likewise in the other direction.

Discovering them (Zigbee) is a bit tricky, and battery reporting is not reliable. Nevertheless they are nice.

Tricky? :flushed:
if you have a prcedure or suggestion, how to do it.
What device and drive you use?
Tanks :slightly_smiling_face:

The drver I use is the following one;
Ikea Zigbee Sound Controller

This device enters stand-by mode quite rapidly and that makes it sometimes difficult to discover.

The trick is to maintain it awake while "discovering", configuring and saving the device.

Detailed recommendations are found in its thread discussion, as I was mentioning before;

It is somewhat lengthy, but I recommend going through it.

Really Gentle
Thanks

You was right
This Ikea device work great
Thank Thank Thanks

Great!

enthusiasm is gone
I think it devours the batteries in 3 days
and what's worse every time I change the battery or disconnect the power it won't reconnect I have to remove it and reconnect it

No need to remove them. Simply rediscover the Zigbee device.

Battery reporting does not work. Battery life in my case (used daily as bed light dimmers) is 6 mo. with IKEA batteries.

Just repeat the discovery process, without erasing the device.

It will say “Existing Device Discovered”. Go to the device page and hit “Configure”.

It will not create a new device, it will simply update the device access.

Battery operated devices only make it to the list if used within the time frame of listing. They do not report constantly as plugged devices do.

Thanks

During my experience with the (SYMFONISK) IKEA
I have noticed that

  • every time I insert a battery it is never at 100%.
  • Every time I remove power
    1. it does not reconnect
    1. discharges the battery

What can I do?

Battery reporting is not reliable with this driver. I have three that I use on a daily basis and they report 2,5 (%?), 0,0 and 0,0 ??!! And they are working perfectly.

Yes, changing the battery requires re-discovering them. A pain in the ***.

In my case batteries easily last more than 6 months.

Strange, mine is eating batteries like chocolate

Did you press “configure” on the device page when rejoining?

You are not the only one complaining from rapid battery discharge. The original post had repeated complains.

Some said it was for faulty units. Mine were bought at different times and have acceptable battery performance (still bad reporting).

I suggest you try a couple of things;

Rediscover the device and be sure you press configure rapidly once it is discovered (have the device page open before you start the discovery process).

Try discovering the device from the place you will use it, and not near the hub. (This sometimes works if your Zigbee network is strong and fast.)
