Got me a Frizzlife LP365-P water meter and valve. Looking to see how to integrate to Hubitat as it works fine with Alexa and Smart Life via wifi. Suggestions?
Most Wi-Fi devices that utilize their own app are difficult to integrate into Hubitat because the company wants you to only use their product(s). There are some that have been reverse-engineered or a developer has discovered the hidden API. However, I haven't seen that is the case with Hubitat or Home Assistant.
Smart Life is Tuya.
You will either need to spend a bunch of time figuring out all the local endpoints and hack together your own local LAN driver, or you could also try the community Tuya cloud integration and see if that works, however I do not recall ever seeing support for a water value on it.
Best bet would probably be Tuya cloud support on Home Assistant and then bring it over to HE from there. HA has a lot more developers working on Wifi / cloud integrations than HE does.
Nice looking unit. Water meter is key. Ultrasonic.
You should do a search, like I just did. ![]()
Based on the thread below, I bet @kkossev would be very interested!
He would only be interested in the Zigbee version, not the Wifi version which @mmoncada has.
Zigbee version would be much more feasible to integrate into HE.
CORRECT!
Missed that! Carry on.
So far that is the one I have found that has what I want. Close open, water meter pressure meter but have not been able to find one in zigbee version. Bummer.
I shall continue searching.
Wonder if this might be it but again, I'm only seeing in WiFi ![]()
I just found this on AliExpress: $745.56 | Tuya Smart WiFi Water Valve Water Consumption Monitoring and Temperature Measurement Support Alexa

WiFi is the killer.
I’ll mess around to find other ways around to making it somewhat useful with the zigbee water leak sensor. Otherwise, I’m screwed for now. Can’t seem to find a zigbee version of it. Sucks to be me ![]()
Looking into this one. Thanks
So. Thanks to everyone's help and suggestions. I ended getting to work for now as an off/on (closed/open) switch thru Tuya IoT Platform (Cloud) driver found in HPM. Followed the instructions and it's working now. Basic use but enough to create rules. This is for the Frizzlife LP365-P Smart Water Monitor and Automatic Shutoff Sensor.
Hey I just ordered this one after seeing an unexpected water leak burst in a neighbor's house recently which unfortunately had caused significant damage to the house. Were you able to get any other controls / data on hubitat ? Also how is the valve performing ? Did you buy it off Amazon ? I was tempted to buy -P version but the other one had $40 discount so went with that.
By the way found this on HA Forum Frizzlife smart water monitor - Hardware - Home Assistant Community
How did you get it to work with Tuya driver ? My device is added into Smartlife App and doesn't show up in Tuya. Did you add it to Tuya app instead ?
Given the potentially catastrophic costs and impact on your life if a pipe bursts, a WiFi-based solution that is challenging to integrate with Hubitat and depends on a cloud connection should be used as a last resort only, IMHO.
Like if it’s impossible where you live to obtain a zigbee or z-wave based valve that can pair directly to your hub, for example.
The valve works in itself with SmartLife App and settings in its own app, I just wanted to integrate it with HE so I can see it on HomeKit Dashboard
Hey. Just made it work as a simple on/off (closed/open) water valve. No info, not data, just postion that is on. Was able to create rules to jave water leak sensor instruct it to open/close. That's is it. Basically as a virtual water valve. Works great on tuya but as many pointed out, given it is WiFi, no easy connection to HE
How did you integrate it with HE ? Which device driver ? I have set it up on Smartlife App but it doesn't show up on my Tuya App neither on Tuya Cloud devices. Would appreciate your help in giving me some directions
