I use rule machine to change colours on 3 bulbs on my outside lamp post ar regular intervals between sunset and 23.30, I have at present 6 colours that change every 30 mins however at this time of the year only 5 0f the 6 colours are being used is it possible to use all 6 colours by creating a equal % time to use all the 6 colours
Easiest way may be to calculate the number of minutes between sunset and 23:30 divided by 6, store that in a variable and then use the variable to drive the color change.
But with sunset changing every day would that still work?
Should, the sunset time is reset every day around midnight.
Will it also still work in the depths of winter when the 6 colour rotation is configured to keep looping for around 9 hours?
Should work year round unless you're in an area that gets 24 hours of sun/darkness
The way I see it is I will have to do a seperate 12 month test
Another thing, what base livel do I canculate sunset to shutdown time, in the middle of winter or summer or ant time of the year?
Another option is Garden Hue (Hubitat package manager)
Time
and Colors
I’m sure @kahn-hubitat Could add a sixth color, but this seems it might be easier for you. I use it to cycle colors during holidays but easily settable for daily.
Other than turn off times before sunrise being only -5 hr max, parts of it would be ok from what I’ve seen and understood so far
What’s those colous 101 etc all about?
Sorry, effects not colours
That’s specific to govee lights
Both Govee matter and zigbee?
yes
I shall experiment with it for some indoor lighting ![]()
