Received my hub today. Was excited to start my migration from a Vera Plus…plugged in, but got no life. Router shows activity, but does not assign an ip. 
Look on the bottom of the hub, there is one hole that is different from the rest in the outer set of holes.
Push the button in that hole using a pin, I think it's 7 seconds. That will reset the network settings on the hub and reboot it.
Then try again.
Yup, tried that. (tried it again just for good measure) but still no life except for lights on router showing activity
I have to ask, how long did you have the C8 powered before you decided it was dead? I know when I got my C8 I was worried at first because the LED was off for a long time. But it finally came alive.
Still plugged in…about 5 hours now
