Can the same bulb be installed twice on one Hubitat hub, I ask because the colour choice on the drivers is abysmal, warm white is pink darker colours are ok I can select white but only in the driver so that's why I ask, one instantce for selecting white and another for colours
No, but I'm not sure I understand your problem. It sounds like you're having trouble selecting color temperature somewhere. If you share more information about that, someone can probably help with that, so you wouldn't need to worry about this at all.
To cut a long story short, I cant find a way to change from red to white, it changes to a hideous pink unless I change the colour to white by entering the app
How are you changing it when it doesn't work? A rule or other app, a Dashboard, somewhere in the mobile app, an external integration like HomeKit or Alexa, etc.? That kind of information would be helpful to figure things out.
I think I've found a way by creating another app in basic rules to get it to turn white, but it looks like I'll have to create a rule for every bulb
If you want some ideas that might avoid you needed to do that, please share:
My echo will do it without problem in their routine but the routines are nowhere ad good as the basic rules as I want it to repeat in various time cycles with other colours involved, I don't use HomeKit or dash boards, I use alexa voice to start the routines up
Can you provide a specific example, perhaps a screenshot or two of what you're seeing and what you're doing, that demonstrates how to reproduce the problem for you now? I'm still not clear on what that is.
This is my basic testing screenshot but there was another cycle that changed it to white, the 6 second times are to save me waiting 15 or 30 minutes checking the cycle, now when the white section was in it no matter where it was inserted it changed to the insipid pink
It would be helpful if, as suggested above, you could show specifically how the problem can be reproduced, as that is the crux of the issue. But at least we know it's a Basic Rule. ![]()
So, I'm going to make some guesses. If you're trying to set a RGB+CT bub to white, you should use "Set Color Temperature" (and some color temperature/Kelvin value you want, maybe 2700 or 3000 for a warm white or 4000 or 5000 for something cooler). Were you using "Set Color" instead?
Yes, I've just changed and it now works
Glad you got it figured out! In the future, I hope this thread demonstrates the value of sharing the requested information -- makes things much easier to figure out. ![]()
