Am I missing out on Node Red

Best thing I ever did was run hassio on my rpi 4. 1 node red is a simple add on and there’s a hubitat integration. You can easily setup node and have h.a to mess around with

Getting around to installing NR again to try out some things (ahem, @april.brandt) I see that the latest version, 1.1, has some very nice changes AND now supports node.js v14 (v12 is recommended though) so I can install natively without the DLL hell that forced me into Docker. Yay! And it's running! On to testing/toying...

For others enjoyment - node-red vs node.js support roadmap. Node 8 & 10 compatibility/support will be dropped when node-red goes to 2.0 so I switched over everything to Node 12.

When they start building Node 14 based containers (presumably after it goes "active" this fall), I'll swap over to Node 14.
