Almost there - new user converting from SmartThings. Need faster Z-wave polling

I have been with Hubitat for a little over 2 weeks. I have converted pretty much everything that was on the ST hub. I am not thrilled with the StelPro baseboard heating support, but I always hated those, they being the only choice years ago. I have just received my new Sinopé Smart Thermostats and look forward to installing them this weekend.

The only problem I have is the 10 second polling for older ZWave switches, of which I have many. It takes so much longer to trigger off of them than it did with the ST hub. If I could change it to 2 seconds, it would be much better. Is there a way to change the polling time?

You can setup polling up in Rule Machine but it is possible that every 2 seconds could put a strain on the hub. You can set up a one rule to poll most important devices every 2 seconds and others at longer intervals

do yourself a favor and replace the non zave plus devices with zwave plus.. youll save yourself much time and frustration in the future.. In my opinion with current f/w the 700 series chip does NOT Like std zwave.

Since I am only polling one switch that would not be a problem. How do I do that?

Choose Periodic Schedule Trigger Capability then Polling is 2nd from bottom in list of Actions.

OK, you talked me into it - I bought an enbrighten switch. This one will be moved.

When you pair the enbrighten recommend you turn off all check boxes. There is really no need to have light switches paired with s2 security.
