I rebooted all my 3 hubs today, using the reboot function in the settings of each - after I noticed some automation stopped working yesterday.
I just noticed now that all my Zwave devices actually disappeared from the Zwave radio screen (all are still existing devices in the device list.
Not sure what is going on? Would a restore to previous backup would bring back these devices? Would shutdown and power cycle might bring them back?
I really hope I do not need once again the exclude/include all these devices.....
I'd probably start by shutting down from the menu, unplug the hub from the wall for 5 minutes, then plug it back in again
Thank you, luckily after hard reset as suggested things are back to normal - very weird behavior
If this only happens once you're probably good to go. But it can also be a symptom of a deeper issue with your zwave mesh - likely something overwhelming it. So keep an eye out for a repeat and if so, more investigation may be needed.
Thanks, yes this is 1st time and nothing changed in the past 2+ months in this network or devices.
What other T-Shootings can be done for the Z-wave radio/network?
You can check your zwave details for low RSSI, ghosts, frequently changed routes, etc. And I have been able to identify chatty devices by looking at the zwave logs. And the "z-wave busy" messages in the general hub log. If you start seeing a fair number of those that can be a problem.
