Very odd situation whereby I can control things via Alexa in the app but not via voice. Any one else had this?
First I’d check that the microphone for the device is still on (my cat has a tendency to turn them off), and then consider uplugging the device and throwing it… er plugging it back in after about 30 seconds.

What happens when you try? She's silent? She says, "Porch light isn't responding"? She says, "I don't that one." She says, "I found two pizza places near you" (oh, sorry .. that's a Siri thing).
What type of device is it?
Add a new virtual switch and share it to Alexa. Discover. Name it something completely random like "horseshoe", and test with that. What I'm getting at here is how Alexa can get confused with names that include, you know, words that are commonly used for rooms and devices.

ok, managed to get it working by unlinking and re linking. Then for some reason it had excluded the hue devices from alexa not sure why tbh but after clicking that everything is back up and working. thanks for the replies
