Does anyone know of a current issue with Alexa & Hubitat (at Sunday July 9, at approx. 17:00pm):
In case someone gets here, let me enumerate the approaches that I used to fix this issue:
- I removed the Alexa skill app from Hubitat, rebooted and then put it back in. To make sure it wasn't a rogue device that was causing my issues, I only enabled a single simple switch in the app. [Other users have reported that this approach may work, but it didn't work for me.]
- It appears that the ability for the Hubitat Hub to "talk" to the cloud is of paramount importance. I made sure that the Hub was "reachable". I also changed it from static to dhcp. I also ensured that I was able to reach it (and the Alexa app) on my phone (same network). I made sure that my firewall was enabling it to go through. [Other users have reported that this approach may work, but it didn't work for me.]
- I found in the Alexa App that the time zone was not set. I set it and it started to work. [I'm not sure why this has worked before, and suddenly it didn't have the timezone in it. Nonetheless, this approach worked.]
