Alexa not responding

For over a year, the Alexa Echo Skill app has been working seamlessly with my devices on C8 (upgraded 5 months ago from C7). However, since last night, I've been unable to control any device attached or managed by HE using the Echo Dot or Alexa app. Interestingly, I can still control a smart plug linked directly with Alexa, which is not part of HE.

I attempted to resolve the issue by re-selecting devices on the Alexa Echo Skill, but unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. Upon entering the Alexa app on my phone, it consistently indicates 'Device is unresponsive.'

Did you try disabling the skill in the Alexa app and re-linking to your account?

Hello, it's interesting because since last night, I couldn't control from the Alexa app any HE devices, but everything else was working fine. Today, I disabled the skill from the Alexa app, as well as in the HE app. Enabling the skill from Alexa took a while (it kept causing the issue. I tried 4 times within a span of 6 hours. I tried again about 30 min ago and was able to link it, Everything is operating correctly now. Is it normal for this to happen? Could a voltage spike be the cause? I recently removed a surge protector from my electrical panel for a few days, and it's curious that this happened when the electrical panel doesn't have surge protection.

More likely a temporary issue somewhere in Amazon’s cloud.
