Main issue - I have groups of bulbs I used to be able to easily control with Alexa. "Alexa, turn on Computer lights. Computer lights blue, computer lights 50% etc etc. Now some of my groups only control on/off and percentage. When I try to ask for a colour, it either gives me "sorry I'm not sure" or "a few items share that name did you mean this one light that doesn't share the name or this other light that also doesn't share the name". I've got my things named very clearly on the Alexa app and it has no problems recognizing the on/off command for these devices first try.
And then just to make things more confusing one of the groups that are set up the exact same way as the other as far as I can tell, works perfectly every time.
I have a decent number of hue lights that I put into groups. It's mostly the Group control I'm having issues with. I'm just about to nuke/fully reset all my alexa devices and start over there. I've heard it can get buggy after lots of name changes and device adding. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I'm missing first. Apparently, you loose all your routines in the process so that would be extra work I don't need.
I integrate the Hubitat skill with Alexa and add the hue bulbs and hue groups into Alexa. It's been mentioned in other posts that it's best practice to create your groups in hue (assuming your group is all hue bulbs which most mine are) vs. using HE groups. For troubleshooting purposes, I've removed the offending Hue group of bulbs, created a new habitat group, Added and renamed in Alexa and it gave me the same result.
