Shortly after upgrading to v2.5.1.143, multiple lights (Z-Wave) are now not responding to On/Off commands from the dashboard or Devices page. Anyone else having this issue?
What hub are using, what lights aren't responding (brand and model).
Have you tried shutting down your hub, wait for red LED, pull power, wait 30s, and then restore power?
I'm running a C7... I've rebooted the hub twice, no change. I have not powered it down but will give that a try. Brand/model of light switches are a mix of Inovelli and Amazon (New One Zwave Outlet Dimmer 2 Pack, 800 Series Z-Wave Plug, Z Wave Extender, S2 Z Wave Device, Z Wave Hub Required, Compatible with Hubitat, SmartThings, Vera, Wink, Fibaro, Homeseer, 2GIG, Alarm: Amazon.com: Tools & Home Improvement)
After powering off and back on the C7, no change.
Are any other z-wave devices working?
AFAIK there were no z-wave changes for C-5/C-7/C-8 hubs in this release. Only C-8 Pro.
Either way, I'm tagging @bcopeland
Yes ~50% of Z-Wave devices are responding (Flood lights, a different Inovelli light switch, etc.)
That rules out a radio failure. Now let’s try to isolate this to the platform upgrade.
Can you use the Diagnostic Tool to roll back to your previous working platform version? Does that restore device function?
.. Correct.. No changes to C-7 Zipgateway..
Yes please do this, it will quickly rule out the version.
Not sure why... but this morning now I can control all of the light/lamp switches which were not working last night.
Glad its all working again. I would recommend two things:
- At some point of time, post your entire z-wave settings page as a screenshot. There are folks here who know way more about z-wave than I do who can identify resolvable issues that will make your mesh more resilient.
- Consider cutting/pasting z-wave logs into Gemini or Claude - both of which do a decent job of analyzing z-wave logs to troubleshoot issues. This works better if you are using Z-WaveJS, but it also works with Z/IP.
