I updated from 2.3.9 to 2.4.0 and it broke hpm. Rolled the platform version back to 2.3.9 and hpm started working again. Is there a way to get it back working again or should i stay on 2.3.9?

@csteele will likely want to know about this...
You may want to include what version of HPM you are running. I am still running the old version and it loaded ok, but not sure about the more recent version @csteele has released.
I updated 2.3.9 to 2.4.0.145, and HPM 1.9.3 loads and works fine for me.

Thanks for the replies. I would have included a more complete post with screenshots but the forum software has forbidden me from doing so at the moment. Regardless, I am running HPM 1.9.3. Is that the current version?

Yes. 1.9.3 is current HPM. If you join the “users” group, you will be able to post screenshots. This is to prevent spambots from flooding the forum.
Click on the 3 horizontal lines in upper right of the screen then navigate to groups, then join the users group. Then you will be able to post screenshots.
And welcome to the forum!

When do you get the error? Right when starting it or while doing something else?
Try reinstalling the HPM code using the bundle, it should overwrite the existing code. This is in case your code file on the hub is not matching the published code for some reason.
You may need to go into settings and turn on the advanced/developer option.

It errors immediately and I cannot get hpm to run at all. If i roll back the platform version it instantly works, roll the platform version forward again, broken. I’ve tried different combinations of power cycles and reboots with no joy.
When it comes to modifying hpm do you mean re-installing it in situ without uninstalling it first? Would that potentially cause issues with the packages hpm is managing? I have not done anything yet since I have packages that hpm has installed and is managing which I am concerned would get corrupted if I was messing with hpm. That or corrupting hpm in a way that would forget which packages it was managing, Thanks.
You can always get HPM to refresh/rediscover which packages it is managing.
Just click “Match Up” on the initial page.
Won't cause any harm and it's probably the quickest way to resolve your issue.
