I have installed the Aeotec Siren 6 New driver and I am so glad that somebody took the time to write this. I am trying to create a simple rule so that when a contact opening a sliding glass door happens It makes a chime and flashes the light. So far I have gotten it to make the chime but I can't seem to have it make the chime and make the light flash. I could do it and smart things but I have now migrated completely to habitat and I'm hoping that someone can explain how to do this. Thanks sorry I'm new to the form and I found a thread about this but could not seem to reply I think the thread was locked.
Sure use rule machine, I threw together a simple rule and it works but you going to have to add an "off" command or the strobe never stops, add another condition contact closed = "Off" (edit- it's Off, stop doesn't work) It is more complicated than ST, but once you realize the extreme flexibility and almost unlimited functionality you won't mind the challenge.
Thank you so very much I can't wait to try this tomorrow. I knew it had to be possible. My take so far only having the habitat for about 3 days is that it is vastly more powerful than smart things. The local execution speed is absolutely wonderful and no edge drive or nonsense That's smart things is attempting to roll out which in my opinion is a train wreck. I really appreciate you taking some time out of your day to put together these screenshots and walk me through step by step how to do this. Have a great day I can see that the hubitat community is also very friendly and helpful which is great.
