Adorne Legrand / Brilliance

Looking for more stylish connected dimmers than Lutron Caseta (tho they work great). I’ve come across Adorne Legrand and see some message from years ago about a possible driver. Also Brilliance seems like a possibility. Anyone successfully integrate either? Other suggestions?

My go-to is Inovelli. They work great for setting scenes and have a very useful LED bar.

They have been dealing with stock issues (they keep selling out), so a good option if time is not of the essence.

I use the Adorne products, but the "dumb" ones. I then pack a Zwave Module behind them for control.

I use multiple manufacturers of modules, just picking based on price at the time of purchase. Aeon, Fibaro, Qubino.

Seems you found your answer in this thread?

If the answer is that I need to by a separate Zwave controller and wire it in? Then I guess I’m unsatisfied…

The z-wave in-wall module is for a dumb legrand switch.

For a legrand switch that has its own smarts, the integration discussed in the thread I linked to (and which you also found and posted in) makes use of a server running node.js

If you already have the "smart" Adorne devices then yes, I'd be unsatisfied too. But back when I bought Adorne, the smart devices were vaporware.

I use the Push version which are $25 but at the time I bought (at Lowes) they were half that. Adding a Qubino Flush 1 relay is expensive today, $60, but again, pre-Covid, the price was half. These days I buy the Fibaro Dual Relay ($50) and for those situations (Kitchen, bathrooms) where there are two switches side by side, the one Fibaro tackles both Adorne.

Ok. Was hoping for something a little more native by way of support or integration…

Ok. Thx. But again. That requires a separate server—eg on a Raspberry Pi?

Indeed it does. Far from ideal, I know.

Perhaps. There’s no single controller that has everything I need automation-wise. And adding an RPi in the mix can make everything better.

I actually really like running an RPi for things like Pi-hole and WireGuard.
