I would like to see the ability to upload floor plans (PDF or other format), for each level of a home, where it is possible to place icons showing the status of devices such as receptacles, door/window sensors, etc. I believe there is value in being able to look at a map to monitor automation equipment.

It might not ideal but you can do it. I quickly found a floorplan of a house created with Sketchup and made it the background of a dashboard. Then, I made the dashboard 80 columns by 20 rows to give me the precision to place devices exactly where I want on the image. This is just 3 devices sitting in the living room and done in less than 10 minutes but, with time, I could do an entire house. The tiles are 2x2.
Others have done this for real. Search for the thread titled "Show Off Your Dashboards" or something like that. I think people have shown examples in that thread. I think it would take longer to create the ISO view of my house.

Thanks. I'll have a look. I'm more of a visual person so tiles on a dashboard are okay, but a picture or floor plan is just quicker and easier for me to process. Right now, I have tile groupings of related devices, but it still isn't quite what I want.
