Adding Specific Dates to the Year as a Condition

Hello,

I would like to suggest adding the date to the year in a future update, to specify specific days (like school vacation days) where automations may need to act differently throughout the year.

As a workaround (or maybe this is what you are supposed to do in the first place?) set the days of the week as the trigger, and narrow it down by using a conditional statement.

  • IF day of the week is Monday AND is NOT January 1 THEN.......

I am doing this now, but year to year a date like Easter break for example, will be different.

You may wish to investigate "Scheduled Switch" from @Cobra which I use to turn a switch on/off at a specific date/time in the future.

I was actually going to suggest the holiday switch app from cobra but his apps are not around at the moment. Hopefully soon.

In a different thread, I suggested to the OP that a virtual holiday switch would be one solution to pursue.
