Hi. Sorry for the simple question. I can't seem to get Hubitat to pair with my Hue Bridge. It is still paired with Smartthings. Do I have to remove it first? Or is there something else I need to do? Thanks
I don’t believe Hue support is available yet. It is still in testing and hopefully will be released soon.
Oh ok. No problem. Thanks for replying.
Just an observation: Pairing refers specifically to zigbee/z-wave/bluetooth device connections. Wifi connected devices and hubs aren’t “paired” in the same way that they only accept a single connection. You would not have to remove the old connections on wifi devices to connect to a new one.
Ok. Thanks
probably as about a simple of a question for you guys as this is all 100% new to me, but if i have a hue outdoor motion sensor ( to control GE smart switches) do i need a hue bridge as well? i thought that is what the hubitat does?
i cant get the motion sensor to turn on the lights, just a long red color (which says it isnt in range or on the channel of the hue bridge? but since i dont have one maybe thats why? or is it that it is too far away from the hubitat?)
The Hue Motion sensor should be paired to your Hubitat hub. There was a firmware update that is available if you have the hue hub that adds better sensitivity for motion detection, but is not required. Where you able to pair the motion detector in place or did you move it after you paired? If the latter it is likely that you need to add some zigbee repeaters. I am not familiar with the red light on this motion sensor, so I may be completely off on this advice, but it is what I would try first.
