Adding a Tapo p125M plug to a mostly KASA (wI-fi) network

I have a new Tapo P125M (Mater) smart plug that I want to integrate into my existing network of mostly Kasa devices. When I try to add it the app offers me 3 choices of matter connections, but that is all.

It was my understanding (certainly a newbie) that Matter was an optional connection.

If that is incorrect, ie: a matter device can only use a Matter network, which of the offered connections is best: Apple HOme, Google Home?
(I do not have alexa).

When I try to use the Tapo integration it tells me:
dining cabinet p125M=Not installed. Needs driver TpLink Plug

where would I find and how do I install the driver?

If you are using Hubitat Package Manager to install the integration, go to that integration and follow the instructions to update.

OTHERWISE, you can manually create a new driver on the Drivers page and Add driver. The code is at: tpLink_Hubitat/Drivers at main ยท DaveGut/tpLink_Hubitat ยท GitHub

Hower, you can shortcut this by doing an Import function on the driver edit page and use the raw link: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/DaveGut/tpLink_Hubitat/refs/heads/main/Drivers/tpLink_plug.groovy
