I think hubitat has been updated so fast that the documentation falls way behind and confuses new users for something that should be as simple as adding a phone.
I tried and tried the link above but can never get to the point where a new device is detected. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, added user, removed users and nothing works.
Does anyone have an email simple way to add a phone for presence detection ?
Once you log into HE with your phone app (downloaded from either google play or apple appstore) a device is created. At that point you can set notifications to push to that device. The existing documentation is still very valid. Nothing in that aspect has changed in a long time.
Exact link I referenced, I am not getting where a device has been detected. So its not working for me.
Again, I have installed the app, removed, reinstalled, added the extra user, removed the user. I am NOT getting a screen on the phone where it is saying it is detected. Using android, the screens do not look like what is being shown in the example, you have to go to completely different hurdles.
Which phone do you have, and what version of Android does it run? I ask because the screenshots in the Hubitat documentation were made with an Android phone.
