For anyone using ActionTiles.......
It looks the whole domain has dropped off the internet ni the last few hours. Any DNS queries are refused. Panels down. Aargrggghhhhh!

It is hard to believe that we are coming up on five years since we lost Terry. Time is flying way too fast. Terry was a valued member of the old community and poured his heart and soul into building ActionTiles. He is still missed, and he will never be forgotten.
Hopefully Alex @ActionTiles will be able to restore their pioneering platform they built together, preserving a service that many still rely on, today.
It is rather cataclysmic. Everything Actiontiles has gone, Panels, website, forum..
I had no idea about the history of all this, but now that I’m reading about it here and in other places, everything makes sense. I really hope this isn’t ActionTiles shutting down without saying goodbye or giving us a chance to move to something else. Nothing else really compares.
I had no idea on the background either. Fingers crossed it's not the end.
At this stage there are no DNS records for the domain. Any query to the NS servers for actiontiles.com are refused. so unfortunately this looks like something has been set to prevent access. Domain expires in 2026.
Wasn't aware that Terry was gone. Been using action tiles since half a decade as the main portal of my home automation without a glitch.
Are Alex and Ady624 still active? I remember those 3 as the OG's
I just performed an ICANN lookup on the DNS registration. It looks like it may have been renewed just a month ago and doesn't expire until Oct 2026.
Did this just happen?
Mine wasn't working first thing this morning. I'm in the UK.
Alex, or @ 625alex on SmartThings community is @ActionTiles here. Adrian, who built WebCore has the same user here (@ady624).
+1 here - I use actiontiles daily for years - historically very high uptime with very few issues over the last 5+ years. Fingers crossed we get some answers soon! Anyone have any further insight to what has happened? This definitely started today.
A/T website down, hard, since yesterday. Two weeks ago, its services glitched so I rebuilt all my dashboards by creating a new account. Smarter this time....I built again, but using H.E. I will miss my pretty A/T dashboards...but at least I have functional H.E. dashboards that will not go by the wayside.
Aside from SharpTools or H.E. Dashboards, is there anything else to consider?
I won't trust a third-party (the internet) again. Have reverted to H.E. dashboards...not as pretty, but won't go by the wayside. Here's one alternative for you to consider though: https://hubitat.ezeek.us/smartly/
HE Easy Dashboards are a closer resemblance to Actiontiles then the legacy one. Just depends on if you need tiles it doesn't support.
I find H.E dashboards terrible and awful to change/edit
As do I, but with H.E. LAN dashboards now I don't have to worry about third parties.
This integration no longer works on the latest versions of hub firmware. You can probably still use the site to customize dashboards and then copy the code back. But you no longer have the ability to resize the contents (you can still drag and drop though as that is part of the built in dashboard features now)
As with many of you, I enjoyed Actiontiles ever since the early Smartthings days. When Samsung parted ways with Smartthings, so did I. I started using Hubitat hub 7. When Actiontiles for Hubitat was released in beta, I rejoiced. I quickly let Alex and the others in the team know that I would gladly subscribe to the Actiontiles platform for Hubitat. Then three things hit all around the same time.
When I migrated from Hubitat 7 to Hubitat 8, I had to recreate all my Actiontiles panels.
When I subsequently migrated to Hubitat 8 Pro, Actiontiles was still in beta with no end in sight. I decided that spending time to produce new panels yet again was an exercise in futility.
I am sorry to see Actiontiles go. However, without a steady stream of new licenses, they had little income. Thus, I am not surprised to see it reach EOL.
I just built one. Was able to resize all okay.
Darn
I would have happily paid a subscription or license fee for it. Hope it comes back. The annoying thing is that I apparently never took a picture of my beautiful main panel…
