Its now got another trick up its sleeve, due to its constant constant stream of adverts I now tell my show "do not disturb" but since yesterday its started to wake up and show me adverts when I use a different wake word for other echo's, either that or its suffering onset dementia and cant remember its own name
Now the app is taking the piss, I want to be told if a contact opens all I get is enter response he but it refuses to open my keypad to enter it
My morning routine in Alexa has it telling me the sunrise and set times for my location. Lately it's been telling me the times for Washington DC. I live more than 2000 miles from DC and I don't care.
Several years ago I saw a post about turning off all the targeted ad choices and changing a setting to Canadian English. Once I did both of those I had no more ads.
When it auto-updated to the new Alexa+ my screen went dark 99% of the time. Serching for those old instructions I found this video that suggests turning on night mode 24 hours a day. I now have my clock back.
