The Abode event of Garage South=Opened frequently does not trigger the rule.
This is the log where the Abode event does not trigger the rule. The issue only occurs for the Garage South contact and may be related to the fact that the opening of the Garage South creates a few Abode timeline events in close succession. However sometimes the rule is triggered correctly when Garage South=Opened appears in the Abode timeline.
The blue text is the Abode timeline event but there is no associated trigger
Could someone in Hubitat support look at this issue. I am pretty sure it is a bug since we cannot control if a rule trigger fires except to define the Rule trigger. The triggers for this rule are simple and we can see the event occur on the log but there no trigger fires to execute the rule.
This behavior has existed since I created the rule several weeks ago and has persisted through several Hub software updates
Fortunately I use more than one HE hub in a mesh, say HUB1 and HUB2 and HUB3 for this discussion. HUB1 had all my rules and apps. Each hub owned its own devices that were geographically close and those devices were mesh shared.
I moved the rules that were triggered by the Abode timeline contact events from HUB1 to HUB2 and only turned on Abode contact events on HUB2. I turned off Abode contact events on HUB1. Now with HUB2 getting fewer Abode events (only Abode contact events and no Abode automation events) the trigger for this rule has been working correctly.
