My all lights on and off rules work very quick and get most all of the device...very rare that one is missed with only one try. Much better with 800LR.
Thing is, the hub doesn't seem to catch up with the physical status on some of them. The devices need refreshing on their device pages.
Any thoughts?
Make a delayed second "off" command in your rule that only acts on switches that are on. Most devices will report back the state again when you command them a second time. That will catch any that did not actually turn off, and also update any incorrect states hopefully.
It doesn't. I've tried. Refresh is the only thing that gets them back on track.
You are right I thought the Zooz switches did, but just tested a ZEN76 and no response when it is already off.
You could try turning the lights off in groups with a delay.
This is my shut down rule and it has been super reliable for me. Even with less than a second delay between groups of lights it works much better than all at once.
What gets me is that all the physical lights turn off and on very quickly. Seems a shame to slow things down for a 'virtual' reason.
edit: I think I fooled around with group refreshed once before, but it consumed resources, or something like that. Now that could be staged without seeing any visible effect. Hmmmm.
Yes you could do a staggered refresh on all devices. Sort of inefficient when only a few need to be refreshed but it would work.
