3 each C-7 units zigbee working intermittently

I have 3 each C-7 units one for lighting and one for some automated shades the 3rd is a spare and has not been used. Three days ago my lighting unit had several devices (buttons) stop working and then my automations like motion settings started to work intermittently and sometime not at all. When I try to read any of the zigbee devices or new devices they fail, but I have a smartThings hub V3 that I kept a few devices on and it works fine I can add device and make new routines etc. the logs do not show any massive errors (I am not a software engineer or super technical but I do have a little understanding of the system.). Any suggestions? I did do a cloud backup of my hub in anticipation of maybe going C8 but why would all 3 hubs not allow Zigbee or Zwave additions even brand new never been paired devices 2 feet from the hub?
Any help would be appreciated.

I wonder if the SmartThings hub is on the same Zigbee channel, or in some way causing interference?

Were those devices moved from Smarthings to Hubitat? The SmartThings hub my still be seeing them if they were once connected there.

Just my guess.

Edit: I would try powering down the SmartThings hub, reboot Hubitat, and see if anything changes. It also couldn't hurt to choose the rebuild database option when you reboot.

Zigbee only?

Zigbee, z-wave or both?

To confirm, all three hubs have a problem with both zigbee and z-wave?

Here is some details of my system
Smartthings is on Channel 14 and Hubitat is Channel 20
I also ran a scan on my wifi it shows no interference and the channels are
2.4GHz Channel 10
5 GHz Channel 40

All of this just started so I am not sure what caused it. I have not done any updates to the Smarthings Hub

What I have tried

I turned off the Smartthings Hub

Rebooted and rebuilt the data base on the main Hubitat Hub which is the one that has the most issues and all my automations and most of my lighting devices

Still will not finish a zigbee device add it gets down to about 14 seconds of the pairing and then shows it finds a device but eventually fails.

This happens on all three of my hubitat hubs which is what is driving me crazy.
I am trying it with a ThirdReality smart button brand new ( i have 4 of them) and I tried ist with some older but unused and new Sonoff SNZB-01 buttons which I have used and work fine
All of these will pair with smartthings no issues.

Any more thoughts of suggestions?

Are all three Hubitat C7hubs using Zigbee channel 20? If yes, please place them all on separate Zigbee channels, and choose channels that avoid 2.4GHz WiFi interference.

You mention your 2.4GHz WiFi is using channel 10. What channel width is your 2.4GHz WiFi using? If it is set for 40MHz, then it is clobbering your Hubitat Hub(s) on Zigbee channel 20.

Each Hubitat hub creates its own Zigbee mesh network, and thus each will need its own Zigbee channel. Using folks choose Zigbee channels 15, 20, and 25 to avoid proper configure 2.4GHz WiFi. 2.4 GHz WiFi should be configured to use channels 1, 6, or 11 with a 20MHz channel width.

As you can see from the illustration above, these settings will result in minimal radio frequency conflicts.

Hope this helps!

Did you mean my 5 GHz wifi channel? I do see that two of my hubs are on channel 20 so I will change them as you suggest to 15-20 and 25 Is that a good option based on my current channels usage?

Here are the channels

No, 5GHz WiFi doesn’t interfere with Zigbee so it’s not relevant here.

Your 2.4GHz WiFi channel width is a measure of how much of the channel and adjoining frequencies it’s taking up for that WiFi usage.

As @ogiewon said, 40 MHz WiFi channel width can create issues with zigbee, and so if that’s how your router is currently set, changing to 20 MHz channel width is worth trying.

What's the channel width? Is the 20 MHz or 40 MHz? I would suggest setting your 2.4 GHz WiFi channel to 1. And the width to be 20 MHz. This will ensure no interference with zigbee channels 15, 20, or 25 - as detailed in @ogiewon's post.

UPDATE. Last night everything started to work again. Most of the items reconnected fine I had a few that needed to be re added. The only thing I did was change one of the Hubitat Zigbee Channels from 20 to 15. I will update the 3rd one if I decide to keep it in my group it was a spare unit.
Any thoughts as to why they started to work again after 4 days?
