2.4.4.146 and homekit speakers

Hi. I can read that version 146 add homekit speakers. How may I add my HomePod to Hubitat then?

You can use the airplay integration app for HomePods and HomePod Minis.

I don't understand.
What are HomeKit speakers?
Why is support "new" in the latest firmware update, 2.4.4.146?

And a further explanation of whether the "HomeKit" applies to "TV set top boxes", or if not, which TV set-top boxes.

Roku is what @gopher.ny has. Also some TVs have Homekit capabilities

Let's assume you have a smart TV that can be paired to Homekit but has no direct hubitat driver. That's all fine and dandy but then you have to set up virtual switches and what not to get Hubitat to even turn it on or off. This allows you to pair the tv directly to Hubitat's Homekit integration and directly control it from Hubitat.

In my case I've been begging forever for them to add on/off capability to their google driver so I could turn off my TCL google tv off when I shut down the house. I used a virtual switch to Homekit to achieve this but it only worked 90% of the time because either the switches got out of sync or the tv interface went to sleep. Very annoying. Since they added this in Beta, I had connected my TV directly to hubitat and it has been 100% controllable. Hopefully they will be adding volume controls (including mute) to the driver. Also works well with Roku but I simply use the community Roku driver for that stuff.
