I was pleased to see a system driver for the "Meross Matter Thermostat".
Unfortunately, the "Thermostat Operating State" is not available and I am not able to use it in any of my current rules or routines which use the operating states, is this a Matter or driver limitation?
I believe that this post belongs in the Beta posts. The current released firmware is 2.4.3.149.
Not a Matter limitation.. But the manufacturer decided not to include those attributes.. In fact all the Matter thermostats I have tested omit this information, I don't know why.. These attributes are in the spec, but they are not required..
Had to return mine, same issue - need it to report the heating operating state and control the fan. Meross got lazy on the coding. To bad, it was nice otherwise.
Every matter thermostat I have tested doesn’t report this unfortunately… The attribute is there in the spec, they just aren’t using it..
