The Homekit integration failed after I disabled some devices included in the integration and added a handful of new sensors to it. Just sharing the experience in case it might help someone else.
- Disabled 4 thermostats that were moved temporarily to another zigbee coordinator. I had the intention of moving them back soon, so did not delete the HE devices, only disabled them. All four thermostats were included in the HomeKit integration; I just forgot about it.
- Added a couple of sensors (contact & vibration) to the integration.
- An hour later, the home app was reporting all my Hubitat-integrated devices as "not responding". I did not immediately realize what the problem was, so I tried restarting the integration, rebooting the hub, rebooting the homepod... nothing helped.
- I then noticed the thermostats were still there in the Home app (marked unresponsive). They were no longer listed in the Homekit integration app, however, so I went ahead and re-enabled the devices... yet they did not come back in the Homekit integration app. I had to go to the device details of each one and disable Homekit integration from there.
- Everything became responsive again after that.
