New Hubitat mobile app in the play store which has a devices tab but upon opening it states firmware version 2.2.7 is required but this doesn't seem to be available. Presumably it will be soon?
I just got same result and I swear it said something about "rooms and devices"while opening to that page. Rooms?
Hub firmware 2.2.7 is in beta, so yes presumably soon, but like any beta there’s no firm timeline AFAIK.
I suspect this is a graphical list of all devices on the hub allowing some simple control, like the SmartThings app. And allowing them to be arranged into rooms. That would be helpful and address many people's complaints about having to set up dashboards.
Here's hoping!
Looking at the release notes for the Android app (1.6.0 - 23rd April) "New device tab for Rooms and Devices".
That would be awesome! Like seriously awesome
Good guess .
Since it’s still in beta the final product is always subject to change, I’m sure, but that’s the gist of it.
From what I have read we will find out soon enough...
All my hubs are at this version yet the phone app device tab says non of them are...
Maybe try restarting the app. I had to do that for it to see my hub had been updated (although I do only have 1 hub at this property so your case may indeed be different)...
I have had had an issue today where one hub shows up with rooms and devices in the app, but my second hub shows a blank screen in the devices tab in the Android app. I have updated both hubs to the latest firmware. The one that works is a C-4, it is a C-7 that is not working
I don't think the phone app is all that stable.. seems to be a hit or miss with how its working
I've found it mostly stable, just this new feature has a few quircks, I'm sure the dev's will sort it out, just wanted to let them know...
Same here... Devices tab on the Android app says: "Devices tab is available on hubs running version 2.2.7 or newer" even tho:
Hubitat Elevation® Platform Version
2.2.7.126
Hardware Version
Rev C-7
So I'm curious what this tab is actually doing or going to do...
If you’ve assigned any devices to rooms they should show up there - may be llimited to switches, dimmers and bulbs right now though
Seems like they showed up after a while (still don't know the reason why they didn't show up until now)
It seems really buggy for now: pressing some will start blinking, but not turning... Sometimes yes sometimes no
It's "foundational" feature at the moment; i.e. not fully implemented or completely functional. Gives them a starting point to start working on feature sets and functionality.
I like how (on iOS) a tap turns on/off a dimmer, but a press and hold brings up a big easy to use dimmer slide.
Turning a light on doesn’t change the state of the button though… I’m assuming that will be fixed.
I agree. Dimmers are only on/off though at the moment.
